Welcome to the sixth edition of the Just Bambinos newsletter. We have lots to tell you this month as we have been busy reviewig new products to put on our website.
As you are now aware we aim to retail products that are not readily available on the high street, but ones which we believe are of the highest quality and improve everyday life.
Although as a midwife, I advocate breastfeeding due to its major benefits during feeding and later on in life, I am aware that not all women can or want to breastfeed therefore we have located a couple of items that I believe compliment breastfeeding when you as a mum are unable to do it.
This may be due to having an infection, pain or perhaps returning to work therefore needing other members of the family to feed your baby.

The teat replicates the nipple when the baby is feeding, which creates a more natural feeding and latching experience for your baby. The teat has integrated venting which prevents colic, it is easy to open and clean as well as being BPA, latex and EA free.

Midwifery Myths
You shouldn't have the flu jab when pregnant. False. The opposite is actually true. The flu vaccination is not 'live', therefore it will not give you the flu, but it can be a lifesaver for mum and baby.
Pregnant women cannot tolerate the flu as well as healthy non-pregnant women and indeed - Flu can Kill therefore be sure to have yours if you are pregnant.
Introducing Darcie-Beau

We would like to welcome Just Bambino's newest addition. Darcie-Beau is just 7months old and came to our attention when mum Natalie was pregnant with her.
Natalie contacted me through twitter for som midwifery advice concerning her pregnancy. She aleady has 3 boys and was ecstatic when Darcie-Beau came along to complete her family.

Welcome to the fifth
edition of the Just Bambinos newsletter. We hope you have had a fantastic easter
with lots of delicious choccy eggs.
We recently had a very
fruitful weekend. We attended the Harrogate Baby Trade Fair and found lots of
brilliant innovative new products which we plan to introduce to you all very
soon. We hope you will like them as much as we do!
It was like christmas in
Harrogate when we got there. Four inches of snow on the ground and twinkling
fairy lights on the trees - very picturesque.
Of course no trip to
Harrogate would be complete without a visit to 'Betty's Tearooms' for tea and a
fat rascal!

Using a laptop can decrease male
fertility?
Answer:
True. Using a laptop placed on the lap causes
scrotal temperature to rise - this temporary raise in temperature affects sperm
production - as does using the sauna, hot tub or cycling for periods of more
than 30 minutes

Chillipeeps is one of my favourite products especially in light of the recently
produced guidelines on the storage of baby milk from the Department of Health
& Food Standards Agency.
If you have chosen
to bottle feed for whatever reason, it is now fairly incovenient to safely feed
your baby when out and about. You would have to take a flask of previously
boiled water, powdered formula milk and sterilised bottles and teats.
So why not take a
Chillipeeps teat system with you - they can be sterilised at home in the same
way that you would sterilise your teats and bottles. They come in their own egg
shaped pod for convenience and compactability where they remain sterile until
used. You then simply screw them into the top of any pre-prepared carton of
formula milk as well as bottled water and juices for older
children.

You can't dye your hair in pregnancy
Answer:
False. There is no evidence to suggest colouring your hair will affect your baby although you should only do it in a well ventilated area as the fumes could make you feel nauseous.
